What Are Kobe Bryant Z-Force Cards?
Z-Force was SkyBox’s loud, colorful basketball brand of the mid-1990s. Designs were busy, and the letter Z showed up everywhere.
The 1996-97 set

Context: The 1996 Topps rookie, Kobe’s most-graded card, has more than 60,000 PSA submissions. The base Z-Force card’s graded count is about one-eighth of that or less, which is part of why Z-Force cards can still feel like a value pick.

Sites use different sales windows, may include mislabeled listings, and rely on few sales for rare cards.
How does Z-Force compare to Kobe’s 1996 Topps rookie?
The Topps card has far more graded copies (60,000+ submissions per SI). In early 2025, Card Ladder data reported by SI showed the Topps PSA 10 averaging about $735, similar to Z-Force PSA 10 sales then.
