What Is the Brooke & Vine Print Kobe Bryant Inspirational Quote Poster?

It is a black and white, unframed, 12 x 16 inch art print made by Brooke & Vine. It features Kobe Bryant with an inspirational quote in a modern sports style. It is printed on heavyweight cardstock with a matte finish and ships without a frame.

Here are the facts at a glance.

Why Kobe Bryant Quote Posters Keep Selling

Kobe Bryant left behind more than highlights. He won five NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers, earned the 2007-08 NBA MVP award, and won two Olympic gold medals with Team USA. He also became known worldwide for the “Mamba Mentality,” his approach to preparation, discipline, and relentless improvement.

That mindset is why quote posters work so well. People do not hang them only because they like basketball. They hang them because they want a daily nudge to show up, train, study, or finish the project.

If you want to see how this style fits into a bigger decor plan, our Kobe Bryant wall art guide covers designs, types, prices, and room ideas.

What You Actually Get in the Box

You get one unframed print. The listing is clear that frames are not included, so budget for a frame if you want a finished look.

The print arrives as a 12 x 16 inch sheet on heavyweight cardstock. The matte finish matters more than it sounds. Matte surfaces reduce glare, so the black and white design stays readable under office lights, gym lights, and window light.

The listing also describes the print as professionally printed and ready to frame. One honest note: the product details in the listing list the orientation as landscape, while the dimensions read 16 inches long by 12 inches wide. Check the main product image to confirm how the design is laid out before you buy a frame.

Print Quality, Paper, and Finish

The material is cardstock with a matte paper finish. That is a sensible choice for a poster at this price. It feels sturdier than thin poster paper, and it resists creasing better during shipping.

It will not feel like gallery grade fine art paper. For a $12.95 print, that is a fair trade. If you want museum level archival quality, you would pay far more.

Expert tip: Handle the print by the edges and keep it flat until you frame it. Cardstock can pick up fingerprints and bends, and matte surfaces show smudges more than gloss.

Who Should Buy This Poster?

This poster is a good fit for several kinds of buyers.

Gym Owners and Home Gym Builders

A motivational quote on a gym wall works as a free coach. The black and white style also pairs well with rubber flooring, mirrors, and dark equipment.

Home Office and Cubicle Workers

The print is small enough for a cubicle wall or a desk side corner. It adds personality without taking over the room.

Man Cave and Game Room Decorators

A group of three or four prints looks great in a man cave. Pair this one with other Lakers and Kobe pieces for a gallery wall.

Parents Decorating a Boy’s Room

The listing recommends the print for kids rooms and dorms. A quote about effort gives young athletes a message worth reading every day.

Gift Buyers

The product page suggests gifts for birthdays, Christmas, Father’s Day, and other occasions. At this price, it is an easy gift for a Lakers fan or a student athlete.

Is It Worth the Money?

Yes, for the right buyer. At $12.95, you are paying for a clean, well made decor print, not an investment. The 4.8 out of 5 rating comes from 25 ratings, which is encouraging but a small sample. Treat it as a good sign, not a guarantee.

It sits near the bottom of the price range for Kobe themed wall decor. If you want something heavier and ready to hang, canvas options cost more. Our review of the Kobe Bryant inspirational poster on 12×18 canvas is a helpful comparison if you are deciding between paper and canvas.

Poster vs Canvas: Which Is Better for You?

A poster is cheaper, lighter, and easier to swap out. A canvas is thicker and usually hangs without a frame.

How to Frame a 12×16 Poster

Framing is where a $12.95 print can look like a $60 piece. The key is choosing the right frame size and matching it to your room.

Here is a simple way to do it.

1. Measure the print. It should be 12 x 16 inches.
2. Look for a 12×16 frame, or use a larger frame with a mat. A 16×20 frame with a mat is a common route and gives the poster a clean border.
3. Choose a black or natural wood frame. Both suit black and white art.
4. Use acrylic or glass. Acrylic is lighter and safer for a kid’s room.
5. Hang it at eye level, about 57 to 60 inches from the floor to the center of the art.

Common mistake: Buying a standard 11×14 frame and trimming the print. Cutting the poster ruins the design and often cuts off the quote. Always buy a frame that fits the full print.

Best Places to Hang It

Placement changes how a poster feels. Here are a few ideas that work.

• Above a desk: Put it where your eyes land when you look up from a screen.
• Across from a workout bench: You will see it between sets.
• Beside a door: A last glance on the way out the door reminds you of the day’s goal.
• In a gallery wall: Mix it with two or three other black and white prints for a clean look.

Mixing wall art with signed pieces also works well. If you collect autographed items, see our guide to Kobe Bryant signed photos for authentication tips, and then use prints like this one to fill the wall around them.

How It Fits a Collector’s Room

Many collectors keep display walls with signed jerseys, shoes, and cards. A print like this adds visual balance. It gives the eye a place to rest between bigger pieces.

Limitations to Know About

Honesty matters, so here is what this poster is not. It is not signed. It is not licensed memorabilia with a certificate of authenticity. The listing does not describe it as such, and you should not expect it to hold or gain collector value.

Also keep in mind that review volume is small. A 4.8 rating from 25 ratings is a good signal, but it is not as strong as hundreds of reviews.
