Why a Dunk Is the Right Image for Kobe
Kobe Bryant came into the NBA in 1996 as a teenager and won the Slam Dunk Contest in 1997. That is why a dunk image feels so fitting. It points to the athletic young Kobe who played above the rim, and not only the fadeaway shooter of later years.
His career gives the poster real weight. Across 20 seasons with the Lakers he won five NBA championships, the 2008 MVP award, and two Finals MVP awards. He scored 81 points against the Raptors in 2006 and 60 points in his final game in 2016. The Lakers retired both his numbers, 8 and 24, in December 2017.
A poster cannot hold all of that. A dunk, though, says energy and ambition at a glance.
Art Style and Print Quality
The watercolor look is the main selling point. Soft color blends and a painted feel make it stand apart from a plain action photo. It also hides small imperfections better than a sharp photograph would, which is helpful in a budget print.
The matte finish reduces glare. That matters in a bright room or near a window, where glossy posters can reflect light and wash out the image.
Two honest limits apply. This is a mass-produced print, so paper thickness and color accuracy can vary. And at this price you should expect decorative quality, not gallery quality.

How to Hang a 24 x 16 Inch Poster
- Unroll the poster and let it rest flat for a few hours so curls relax.
- Pick a wall away from direct sun and damp areas.
- Hang it with the included wall mount, or use poster hangers if you prefer a clean look.
- Use a level so the long edge sits straight.
- Center it at about eye level, roughly 57 inches from the floor to the middle of the poster.
Framing Tips
The poster is 24 x 16 inches, so look for a frame in that exact size, used in landscape. A frame with a mat gives a more finished look, though a mat will need a larger frame size. Acrylic glazing is lighter than glass and safer in a kids room.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Buying without checking if the frame is actually included.
- Hanging it in direct sunlight, which can fade colors over time.
- Using strong tape that can peel paint from the wall.
- Treating a printed poster as a collectible.
- Ordering a frame in portrait orientation for a landscape print.
Care Tips for Your Poster
Keep it indoors, as the listing states. Dust it gently with a dry soft cloth. Avoid humid bathrooms and kitchens. Do not use water or cleaner on the print.
